Wendy's fast food restaurants are exceptionally clean and well run facilities that are predictable in terms of guest and restaurant team expectations. The Wendy's Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in managing the operations and staff of a Wendy's restaurant, including the execution of all company policies, procedures, programs and systems while promoting ethical business practices and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. He/She is practiced at business and financial management, people motivation, and communications. Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible to: 

• Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures 
• Ensure food safety procedures are executed according to company policies and health/sanitation regulations 
• Work with management team to meet budgeted sales goals 
• Manage food, labor, paper costs, and other controllable expenses 
• Execute company policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment 
• Monitor inventory levels through ordering to ensure product availability 
• Manage and maintain safe working condition 
• Manage crew employees in a manner that maximizes crew retention 
• Interview and recommend team members for selection in hiring 
• Provide proper training of team members through established systems and follow through to ensure compliance with company standards 
• Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action 
• Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards 

The ideal Assistant Manager will support the enterprise by creating and maintaining an "Employer of Choice" environment and provide leadership, direction, training, and development to subordinate supervisors and team members alike.

All employees in a management or supervisory position within Wendy's Restaurants must posess a Serve-Safe Certification within 6 months of their hire date.

Job Requirements Inlcude:

Management/Supervisory/Mentor experience desired
Able to lift 35 pounds to waist level
Guest-friendly demeanor
Willing to work normal schedule of 50 hours per week (all shifts)
Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
High School Diploma or GED
One year prior restaurant experience minimum
